We don’t know about you, but once the long dark of January is out the way, we always find our attention turning to the summer. And for us here in Soul Unit, that means one thing – weddings! Leading function agency Tailored Entertainment have us packed to rafters with bookings, providing cool wedding entertainment to happy couples up and down the country. But naturally, as a Yorkshire wedding band, much of our focus will be turned towards home.
It’s such a beautifully varied county too, offering a wonderfully wide choice of themes and backdrops for your wedding venue. Whether you’re drawn to the beauty of the Yorkshire Dales, the modernity of a cool city centre space or a beachside resort with sumptuous views – you’ll find it all. In fact, if you know where to look, there’s some seriously cool and unusual Yorkshire wedding venues waiting to be unearthed!
Five Beautifully Unique Wedding Venues in Yorkshire

That’s where we come in. Given we’re one of the most popular wedding bands in Yorkshire, we tend to know a thing or two about where to look for epic wedding venues here at home. In fact, we decided to put together a little list for you, cause we’re nice like that.
So here’s five fabulously unique Yorkshire wedding venues that could be the perfect fit for your Yorkshire wedding. There’s something for everyone in this list so we hope you find exactly what you’re looking for!
Let’s get cracking, shall we?
Broughton Hall, Skipton

First things first, we’ll turn our attention to this stunning spot nestled in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. When it comes to manor house style wedding venues in Yorkshire you can be a little spoilt for choice, but for our money this 16th century stately home is by far and away the best in Yorkshire, if not the whole country. There’s just so much to fall in love with in this venue, but what we really like about Broughton Hall is its total flexibility and seemingly inexhaustible options for different styles, looks and vibes. The house itself offers the very finest Old English design you’re likely to find anywhere in the UK. The ‘Eden’ is a little slice of English paradise with the kind of views that look like they’re pulled directly from an Emily Bronte novel. And the Garden House offers a totally different vibe – sleek, simple and contemporary with large glass windows making the most of the gorgeous scenery. There really is something for everyone. This is a seriously special venue!
The Angel at Hetton

In recent years, Pub wedding venues have become more and more popular – and we’re absolutely loving it! It’s difficult to achieve that laid back, intimidate energy whilst still managing to achieve a real sense of occasion, and a good pub wedding venue can do precisely that. Plenty of well-ran country gastro pubs have started to offer wonderfully thoughtful and reasonably priced wedding packages. In The Angel at Hetton, you’ve got one of the best pub wedding venues in the whole country. This old 15th Century coaching was recently acquired by renowned chef Michael Wignall, going on to achieve their first Michelin star in the 2020 Guide. It’s wedding packages are second to none, offering ‘gourmet’ menus from the kitchen’s Michelin star menu, as well as more affordable options if that sounds a little too budget busting for you!
Camp Katur, Bedale

Eco-conscious wedding venues are a small but growing sub-section of the wedding market right now. This venue out in the woodland of Bedale is a real trend setter in this area. Set amidst 250 acres of woodland, Camp Katur is a pristinely kept eco-centred nature retreat that can cater to weddings of any and all shapes and sizes. There’s also a tonne of great accommodation options onsite including everything from simple little camping pods to the ‘Romeo & Juliet’ inspired bridal lodge. Camp Katur also offers really impressive tepee packages, as well as more rustic options for those couple keen to get close to nature on their big day.
92 Burton Road, Sheffield

Yorkshire’s brilliant cities play host to some seriously cool and vibrantly unique wedding venues, and one of our absolute favourites is without doubt 92 Burton Road in Sheffield. The huge events space is housed in an old factory warehouse, proudly combining Sheffield’s rich industrial history with an awesomely brutalist, modern aesthetic. The warehouse itself opens out onto a courtyard hosting some of the city’s best street food merchants, craft ale brewers, cocktail makers and live music. So that’s your evening entertainment sorted as well!
Raven Hall Hotel, Ravenscar

Seaside wedding venues are notoriously tough to get absolutely right. There’s a good number of coastal wedding venue options down Yorkshire’s stunning shoreline but, let us tell you from experience, too many of them look a little tired these days. Raven Hall Hotel is one of the exceptions. The beautiful folly castle style country home offers top notch wedding packages in some seriously tastefully designed facilities. You've also got the advantage of some of the Yorkshire coast’s best views over Robin’s Hood Bay – perfect for some wedding photos with some seaside scenery!
So there you have it! Five unique wedding venues in Yorkshire, with a little something for everyone! And if you fancy grabbing yourself an awesome soul wedding band to play your big day, give us a call and see how we can help you out. We can’t wait to hear from you!
